Would you share the outside with me?

You can never feel the sun dry away the morning

dew from your face or warm your smile so that

others may be blessed if you stay inside.

No, sit on your ass and absorb what your watching.

Numb your mind with action games for hours on end.

Knowledge, the ethereal glint of wisdom.

Missed, disrespected, diluted, to a point where

wisdom is what we see on T.V. or in a video game.

Knowledge is power, words are knowledge, words

are power. Privileged thoughts broadcast out of quiet

hearts to bring just a small smile stealing away the cold

of the night.

Spread out the night and bask in the open darkness,

wisdom as glittering imaginations force feed our

stars with sparkling diamonds of light.

Laying under the stars wrapped in the arms of a lover,

strawberries, cheese, and champagne to celebrate the birth

of life and love once again.

Only outside can I see you in your glory, unbridled, unrestrained,

natural as if Eve were walking in her garden without the taint of sin.

Bare ass, bare mind, bare soul, bare heart to receive the bounty

that is made manifest for all our senses.

Painting pictures of clouds in the morning as you awake under the

calling of the dawn keeps me near you.

Not perplexed anorexic thoughts starving for knowledge,

but vivid pictures alive and full like a newborn baby full from their

mother’s breast.

We have forgotten the taste of mothers milk and have become

full of hate and disdain for mankind.

Puke up your hatred and fill your belly full of the sun, feel the coolness

of the sand as you wiggle your toes deeply under its blanket.

Smell the breeze gently lift the salt to your nose.

Watch the giant fields of grain sway as if dancing to a waltz.

Smell the budding blossoms of cherry, peach and orange.

Drink from waters pristine, cold, and clear.

Touch the skin of your lover and look into eyes full of life.

Is there knowledge in just living? Just surviving one day?

Where is the trust, the compassion, and the understanding?

We lack the wisdom to see because we are blinded by our lack

of knowledge.

Is your hand stretched forth to help another, is your table sparse, yet

you offer what you have?

Outside is our knowledge, our wisdom.

For the earth was made as our chalkboard to learn from. Our book

to read, yet we fail to turn the page.

It is natural outside, a peace, a serenity of sounds and beauty as

we tip our glass to each others lips and smile in the heat of the day

glad we’re outside.

A writing filled with colorful contrasts; both kind and unkind truths (as in life)--food for the soul.
Thanks for sharing this.

"Outside" covers many provocative thoughts, but you boil them down to one concept: a return to enjoying nature.
