You Are
You are a tumble of words winding in my mind
You are the wind of time reminding me of why
Love begins, grows, and endures as years slip by
And I watch and admire you
You are the morning sun shining on my face
You are the evening moon giving night grace
Life begins, grows, and endures in the space
That I watch and admire you
You are the beating of my heart within
You are the everlasting joyous hymn
That love begins, grows, and endures in
Moments I watch and admire you

This is the emotion that I wish for everyone, an emotion that I've felt in my heart since 1947.
Sharon, you visited my den some time ago and commented on my poem, A Lovely Rose. I invite you, now, to revisit this poem and while there to view two others: The Kiss and A Walk In My Garden.
(Rose and Kiss are meaningful in connection with You Are. The garden poem is just to give you a little treat while there.)
As always, I love your work.
Richard
"You Are" is a true paean to the beloved... A romantic spiritual painting of a dedicated lover in poetic excellence.
I salute You, Poet.
