The curtain of dusk had fallen
The Moon’s face shone impossibly bright
Clouds made way for the stars to view
The events taking place this night
A solitary man daydreaming
Under the weight and crush of time
Praying true Love would prove to be
More than a creation of verse and rhyme
But he had captured Fate’s attention
And the slow turning of Life’s wheel
Would bring him the requests of his heart
What had only been dreamed was now real
With a thunderclap, lightning now strikes
In the form of a woman sublime
Whose spirit and heart is a match for his
More wondrous than any verse or rhyme
Hand reaches for hand and hearts do to
Lightning flashes, a thunderous roar
Carried on the wind, emotions entwined
Above the clouds toward Love the two soar
Has such rhythm and I love your choice of words.
Romantic-spiritual surreal and symbolitical composition of poetic
excellence through the lines of "When Lightning Strikes".
I salute You Poet!
