If…


If someone must accuse me of
Desire to be your friend,
Then charge me every day,
For it is true .

If anyone should make a crime
Of your place in my heart,
Feel free to sentence me
For loving you.

Let no one try to set me free
From life without parole
Imprisoned in your every thought
And shackled to your soul.

If all should wonder of my fate,
Let it be known to all:
I died a happy man
For having you.
