A world of fairy tales and fantasy and days of summers golden haze...her dreams are filled with castles floating in the air...she walks among the whispy clouds catching rainbows and pretty ribbons for her hair...
On the flower scented breeze her child's heart fills with wonder and embraces all she see's...in deep blue eyes still misted with her dreams she finds the place where beauty and truth are still realities...
Her heart is captured by the little things that fill the serene summer day...a robins song...a multi-colored butterfly...the clean earthy scent of freshly cut hay...her laughter filled with innocence the burden of worry has yet to come her way...
A beautiful rose bud on the verge of full bloom this captivating creature this lovely woman child...the world is still a mystery waiting to unfold and the years ahead a story waiting to be told...
As she begins the journey from blissful youth to young womanhood her fairytales will fade her castle in the sky and the rainbows will slowly depart leaving distant and misty memories in their place...and if wishes could be granted I would send this one wish her way...I'd wish for her too never lose the child in her heart...
~May you never lose touch with the child in your heart~

Very beautiful..and the child's heart shines in this poem!
A beautiful write, very touching and gentle. A child's heart..we as parents would love to shelter and maintain the innocence within our children if we could. I always told my children to enjoy their childhood that they only had a number of years to be children and the rest of their life to be adults. Sad when we see them making this transition from child to teen and from teen to young adult...life just speeds by far to quickly for parents. Enjoyed!
