Butterflies

by Charles Keller — Read all 159 poems by Charles Keller

Monday, November 20, 2006

When a heart is filled with feelings deep
so deep they visit during sleep
fantasies can stimulate
and tempt the fickled hand of fate.

So real they seem to breathe and live,
they have the power to take and give.
There in "Dreamland" is see those eyes
and my heart is filled with butterflies.

Butterflies, little spirits that come and let us know we are remembered.

I like the symbolism and the voice of "Butterflies".
