Our Alabaster Moon

by Charles Keller — Read all 159 poems by Charles Keller

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Our Alabaster Moon

That alabaster moon... our moon

The heavenly sphere

Which connects us

In such a real sense.

Oh, that alabaster moon... our moon.

I gaze up

As you gaze up

And imagine that connection.

Our moon... that alabaster moon

Gliding across

The still blackness

Of the star filled sky.

Our alabaster moon... your moon

Smiles down upon me

When I look up at it

And think of you.

Our alabaster moon... my moon

Reflects in your twinkling eyes

When you gaze up at it

And think of me.

We share a kiss

Each time

We look up in wonder

At our alabaster moon.

Very romantic work, and so therapeutic to me to read it. I love to see the full moons and to watch the shooting stars on a summer evening sitting outside til sleepytime. God Bless.

Very nicely written and said. Spring is near and this poem draws warmth and comfort. What a beautiful thought of the alabaster moon ...always there to remind us of the reflections of love.

Oh My, this is just exquisite, brought tears to my eyes Chuck. Those who love like your poem should be looking at each other, not sharing the moon from a distance.
