Another Head Upon a Pike!
It is the same old story
Tired as it can be
It has the same old characters
Thinking to be free.
The cause is Irish freedom
From Imperialistic rule
An adequate excuse
To re-invent the past.
The heros march from hell
To meet the loyal call
To feed the patriot fire
To give their best from hell.
Collins was young, 31 or so
DeValera was just afraid
That greatness would pass him by
Both had egos wild.
They loved to feel the heat
Of righteous fires ablaze
To feel its warm embrace
A hell to call their own.
The republic was born in deceit
A way to split the spoils
A way to feed the fire
Still burning in their hearts.
Collins was murdered
A sacrificial pawn
In the chess of evil Dev.
A victim for the fire.
He made the people see
That he was their leader to be
A man with secret deals
A man with clever means.
He outlawed his friends
One fell swoop & he was key
The vacuum left by Collins
Was the slot from which he would play.
He used the passion of the time
To build his ego schemes
He was a clever evil man
A fiend reborn in time.
The pain of partition was his legacy:
A surreptitious deal to lose the North
With Collins head upon a pike
He fooled them all from Whitehall’s dome.
Many love the taste of blood
Especially their own
They think that truth is only born
In land of green and passions blood.
The leaders come because they're called
To serve the need of righteous call
They sometimes come to match the need
Of people dying from lack of truth.
When truth is bare the demons come
They see the shell & fill the void
The most of need is always shown
From what is seen in gardens ripe.
It is he same old story
Repetitive as can be
It has the same old ending
Never to be free.

The supporters of the theocratic governments will take a while to get rid of their hypnotic historical trance; and until the WESTWORLD'S POPULATION LEARN WHO ARE OUR ENEMIES AND ACTIVE TERRORISTS... I mean the real terrorists' masterminds and Engineers of Industrial Wars stay in power, (THE FIVE PERMANENT MEMBERS OF UN SECURITY COUNCIL) it seems that many innocents will perish at the doors of Canterbury and the Basilica of Saint Peter.
A profound composition; a story is wisely told through the finely poetized lines of "Another Head Upon a Pike!".
I salute You, Poet.
