heart cleansed by new tide waves

Stolen Sunrise
……………………………………………………………………

This beach is coming…
To life slowly,
While I sit in darkness…
Waiting for sun to come…
Rising…giving birth.

My mind swirls,
Taking flight…
Landing in Carolina mountains,
Forming crater…filled…
With lake water reflections…
Dancing on morning ceiling.
Your body’s warmth,
Soothing my aching bones…
Filling my heart.

To be near you…
Drinking passion,
From your breasts…
And flowing streams,
Of raging lust…
Manifestation of love,
Found when timing…
Was not right.

Projections of memory,
Flash archives,
Of amorous finesse…
Inducing inebriation…
Of desires pleased.

Preparation of breakfast…
Found you grasping countertop,
Me grasping hips…yours…
Pulled towards me,
Words of love forever…
Passing my lips…
Made no sense.

Poetry written…
Not seen…till…
Tears dried,
From comforting kisses…

Damn…I missed the sunrise again.

Erin this is so beautiful and passionate. I like the way you entwine romance and nature. I also like the short phrases which seem to add intensity to this poem.

Dear Erin, parts of your poem remined me of the book of Songs of Solomon in the bible. It is very well written, and for the life of me I can't understand why you're not writing more. Fabulous sensual write, written by a man who knows what both love and lust is.
love Holly

Sisters of Emsharra Print Collection by Gracie McKeever

Unrest is afoot in Emsharra and Quna Nahemah’s idea to quash the rebellion is to leave Sisters, Genesis and LaMia, to their own devices.
