Heart's plea...
........................................................

Abyss of Devotion
……………………………………………………………………

It was not coincidence
That allowed me to
Sense the nature and
Depth of your needs…
First time the sweet
Essence of your voice…
I heard.

Your eyes had already
Revealed the softness
That your soul harbors.
I felt awkward and
Uncertain…grasping for
Bits and pieces of
Confidence…in my
Attempt to find a way to
Tell you…I had noticed.

Despising fear…
Irish boldness overcame
Shyness…touching your
Hand…I confessed my
Discovery…
You seemed flattered.

Small talk and cordial
Conversation danced
Around the truth…we
Desperately wished to
Reveal to each other.
I was grateful when you
Finally returned affirmation
With your touch.

Was it fear of rejection…
Or loss that hampered
The truth of ties,
To pass through your lips…
When asked if your heart was free ?
When truth was discovered,
I did not turn and walk away.

You fuel the fantasies
Of many a man…
Who desires to touch
And ravish your beauty.
My need for you,
Has much more depth…
I want to swim in your
Soul…not just the
Softness of your thighs.

Do not allow me to fall
Into the abyss of love…
If you are unable to swim
In waters of devotion…
With me.

This is the reason I track you. One of the few times fear is beautiful. Well written. Enjoyed.
