I was walking on the lake shore
And felt the pebbles beneath my feet
they were smooth and cool
and I was thinking of you
Your hand upon my cheek
Your kisses so sweet
The way you make my heart
Skip a beat
I stopped to skip a stone
Across the glassy water
But it sank, as it always does
And I smiled thinking
You would have teased me
I leaned down to pick up another stone
And much to my surprise
The stone was red and shaped like a heart
I closed my hand around it
And thought of you
How you hold my heart in your hand
So here I stand
A heart in my hand
You on my mind
And in my heart
I love you
