and throw my body to the nearest floor
in the light of a flame and a pulse I can't hear

and release the unfaithful distance
of painful anticipation and welcoming
a fresh penalty wrapping me with surmountable will

your flesh in deep to the sacred spaces
where my soul lives and breathes
and plant your stake in my heart
bleeding me, saving me from more than madness
