The Man You Are

You are a very special man,
for whom I pray daily, and think of without command.
I wish that only I could ease,
the burdens that you carry, without relief;
to be there at the end of your day,
to say “Welcome Home, come in, relax, and stay.

The Man You Are

I’m sorry that I missed your call.
I understand, you have no time at all,
to do the things you’d like to do;
instead, you’re too busy for those who make the rules.

It makes me love you even more,
despite not being able to see you at my door.
I understand the things you must do,
for I love and respect so, this man called “you”.

It makes me deeply sad my dear,
to know you work so hard, with so little cheer.
Although your work is seldom done,
I often think about you and pray for you “hun”.

I wish I could be there to greet you,
when you come in from work, I’d rub your feet too.
I’d have a nice relaxing bath prepared,
and all of your favorite foods, we’d share.

I do appreciate you, and would show you so.
I’d show you this every night, as soon as you crossed my door.
I’d rub your back and head just so,
to make you relax, then to bed you’d go.

I’d make you get more rest and sleep,
so your body would not grow so weak.
And your eyes would not grow tired and weary,
so you could drive, and see the road more clearly.

The days, weeks, months, and years would pass;
so quickly, would the hours not last.
I’d watch you run just like the wind,
only to return to me, off the road again.

But I know this time, it will never come,
until you and I could make a house, a home.
So I’ll just have to be content knowing,
that you’re safe and sound, with your horn still blowing.

Someday in the future, we will take long walks with each other;
And spend lots of time knowing one thing and then another.
We’ll journey along and investigate,
how wonderful everlasting life can be, behind Heaven’s gate.

I know in this you will take pleasure,
the abundance of which, cannot be measured,
because of the state upon this earth, it’s true ,
you do not wait, nor lay up treasures of new.

You are a very special man,
for whom I pray daily, and think of without command.
I wish that only I could ease,
the burdens that you carry, without relief;
to be there at the end of your day,
to say “Welcome Home, come in, relax, and stay.

Hi there young lady I like you poem. This one seemed to be the voice of a warm loney and loving person that can almost reach out and touch the one she loves. It seems that she is still searching for him. How can you keep all that passion closed in side of you all these years.
