Thanking God Now, For Life's Norms by David Clure

What is that sound, I hear
now playing.
Honking car horns, balloons
-- more cars.
It was a wedding! So I
am thankful, I'm Thanking God now,
for Life's norms.

Those hopeful notes
we hear resounding,
even still sounding
in Life's storms;
They lift our hearts,
and others 'round us--
I'm thanking God now,
for Life's norms!

A wise-man once wrote,
Ecclesiastes,
Enjoy NOW all that God has
given.
Our life's a vapor, so
don't hoard it,
Our life is ours now,
it's for the living.

These hopeful notes
we hear resounding
even still sounding,
in our storm
They lift our hearts
and others 'round us--
I'm thanking God now,
for life's norms.

Indeed... "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1st Thessalonians 5:18 and also: "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ," Ephesians 5:20. Thank you for sharing your faith. Stay well. R

If you are sequestering like most of us, it's a great time to get to know your family, call your friends and do a little good for those you believe need do gooding.

We can make the best of the worst of times. We just have to do it.

Yes, we must thank God for life's norms. For it's getting hard to find out what normal is these days. Thank you for this time-out poem. We must remember God's Word trumps all. Amen
