What would I give
for this whole world?
Would such a gain
be worth my only soul?
N o,  keep  all  the
trinkets you may win,
I still would choose
my soul again.

What would I trade
for my good name?
Would it be power
gold or fame?
What good are those
things, without love?
I still would think
my soul enough.

A hug, a smile, a
friendly face.
And God's "Well done",
His thoughtful ways.
Keep all your
worldly empty praise.
I still would choose
life over stuff.
My neighbor's good
all of my days.

What would you give
for this whole world?
Some things are
better left unsold.
Your dignity, your
love, your soul,
your liberty, your 
self-control.
Your children, and
your family, these,
these are worth far
more than gold, or
highs or likes, you know.

The bidding goes on
every day.  I wonder what
you'll choose today.
