A MANGER    by  David CLURE

A  Manger paved the way

to the cross upon the Hill ;

A  manger for a king to

fulfill God's perfect will . 

Only the Son of God,

who never would know sin ,

could ever take our place ,

Fully God; fully Human .

And so, He visited 

this World , into our history ;

and in a manger lay ,

God's Face, for all to see ! 

All of this was done

to bring us close, so

into His Arms now fly .

Open wide receive Him now ;

within His heart abide . 

A manger made a way .

A manger for your King .

As He once lived down here with us ,

belong to Him  again .
