M O N O P O L Y - David Clure
If you own it all,
who gets in your way?
Like a bully
on the playground,
giving no one else a say.
If you own the World?
What gets in your way?
Not even governments
or Armies. And for some,
that seems, o.k.
--But for most of us?
We just want to chase
our dreams, and maybe win.
We don't want to be the
victims, of your schemes; your selfish sin.
Monolopoly, well
even it has rules.
But those who cheat?
They are the World's
most cruelest fools.
The wise don't build upon the
sinking sand.
They build their lives upon
The Rock that can.
That shall stand.

That's why, in the United States, laws were passed to prevent monopolies and trusts from gaining too much power. However, for the last 40 years, conservatives have been gradually removing the laws that control monopoly and trusts to benefit donors from those very monopolies. A kind of collusion called conflict of interest. There are several examples in the Supreme Court and Presidency right now and more numerous in the halls of Congress.
As your poem states, we must constantly be on the vigilance for the cheaters in our business and government and swiftly bring them to justice.
