M Y S T E R Y O F L I G H T by David CLURE
Tip-toeing 'round outside at night,
my eyes adjusting, opened wide,
initiated to the mysteries -- of light.
Sprinkled stars all shiney bright
and universes out of sight,
illuminating, captivating, mysteries --of Light
This strange, familar wonder.
What is this thing called light?
Indescribable. Undefinable.
These mysteries of --- light.
Sun rises in the morn, as I
go back inside.
Moon glows from pale blue sky
What is this mystery called light?
Lightening bugs blink code then
thunder rumbles back again,
flashlights cast a beam
What is this mystery of ---Light?

It all comes from our very stable star that has been burning for about 4 billion years and will continue to burn another 4 billion years before it is predicted to grow and consume our small planet where light won't matter anymore at all.

Gosh your poem captures a childlike awe at the elemental phenomenon of light, scientific, spiritual, and emotional, It reads like a nighttime prayer of wonder.
