Pieces of the Jigsaw
the pieces don't fit
the puzzle
the birds don't sing
in Trafalgar square
and barking dogs
wear muzzles there
The cats don't care
who pet them
in Leicester square
the trees are bereft
of leaves
In London Town
the clouds are grey and wet
Everywhere is lifeless
Since the day we met
the sun didn't rise
the dawn wouldn't break
and all because
you called me
A mistake.
Now i must start again
Find another heart
on another plane
be it in this or the next world
I just need a break
from being called a mistake
my eyes, my lips, my heart
won't lie
But Valentine today
is the day
my love did die.
