My horseman hath no wings like Pegasus

Poem Artwork

So tired...

Of trying to get through to you.

so i have decided not to

because it hurts each time i try

and you never see the tears i cry

washed away in Englands rain

you cannot feel the pain

which i must endure

humiliation like downpour

embarrasment like sunburn

oh will i ever learn

not to chase a rainbow

on a horse with no wings

to wake up alone

when the dawn call sings

to stay awake all night

because i feel so tight

inside my heart

since we have been apart

And all because of that first kiss

which you will never know

how much i miss you so

I must let go

we both know

to find another dream

but i don't want to

you made me choose

to be silent or to lose you

best i knew that sooner

than later

because then the loss

would have been greater

I want you now

but fate decided against that

somehow

God knows best

I wish i could get you

off my chest.

Andi

A bittersweet write filled with broken promises, always so difficult to shake, but shake you must to follow your dreams yet to unfold....

Be safe,
Karen
