Falling in Love with Someone Real
In the Autumn of her Life
She felt a Summer breeze
Spring was in the air
As she looked forward to
Winter's freeze
She met him online
When She'd given up on men
Suddenly. She felt such
Overwhelm!
He came into her life
When She was celibate
Yet fancy free
He said that he loved her
And her friends thought
It crazy!
They had her back
But he had her whole
(No pun intended)
And now she's feeling the cold
After being so bold
What if he didn't mean
The things he said?
What if he loved an image
Instead
Of the smiling on the outside
Scared on the inside
Of Love and commitment phobe?
Who had travelled half the globe
To find true love
But thought she'd had enough.
And prepared to face
The World alone
Flying solo
Having quit the human race
She felt she had died
Yet had no where to hide
These emotions were
Of bitter sweet taste
She had loved before
Or so she had thought
But this love was on a different level
Could it be this man is for real?
Not just a fantasy in her fairytale?
A character in her book
Whose love she had mistook?
Does love really exist?
She felt as if she had never been kissed
He makes her feel shiny and pure
She loved him already
Of that she was sure
