He said he’s afraid to breathe me To unwrap me Unravel me The way he once did He fears the love poems in my heart Terrified he might tear the pages Or smudge the ink And I fear the same A tiny masochist begs for you, though Begging for you to tear all my pages Litter the streets with my juvenile love poems And leave me Beaten and broken Smelling of your skin
