God's Rainbow

by Connie Amarel — Read all 7 poems by Connie Amarel

This poem stresses that even in our darkest times God is with us.

Monday, February 3, 2020

GOD’S RAINBOW

GOD looked upon my saddened face

And said, “I brought you to this place,

To live and love, to work and play,

To spread my Good News everyday.

I thought about this for awhile,

And soon my lips began to smile.

Though clouds appear and rain may start,

His rainbow shines into my heart . . .

And makes the darkest day seem bright,

And basks my soul in sheer delight.

And all my sadness melts away

For from His love I cannot stray.

Enjoyed the 8 syllable (per line) balance in this. Helps make the end rhyme more appealing. Thanks for sharing. rlc
