Old visions in faded colour, Drift in shadowed depths of a broken mind. A lost love in a grave lies, Love’s youthful blush, now ghostly pallor, Somber silence, hath replaced life’s vigor. Silent grave in which lost love lies, Lies itself unmarked, Save for drops of grief from a lone mourner’s eyes. All the mourner’s tearful cries, For a resurrection of a love lost, Fall on heavy silence breathing silent sighs, Uncaring, untouched by a mourner’s hope, As hope slowly dies, entombed, in a freshly broken heart.
