The sun, sky, and stars.
You promised me you'd find me,
No matter where you were or how far.

You promised me you'd be there,
To catch my every falling tear.
You promised me that when I succeeded,
You would be there to cheer.

You promised me you'd love me,
Until the end of time.
You promised me you'd cherish me,
And that you would always be mine.

You promised me my dreams,
That you'd help make them come true .
You even promised to buy me that car,
The Beemer convertible, in blue.

You promised me you'd keep me safe,
From all the downfalls of life.
You promised you would help me,
Take the brunt of all my strifes.

You promised you'd never leave me,
But that promise was broken fast.
I guess that's just one of the many,
Empty promises you've made me in the past.
