This dance is perfect
In every single way
Arms wrapped around each other
Noses almost touching
Lyrics whispered through the dark
Love shared
A captured moment
Timeless
This song speaks of the love
That no one can put into words
I see it in your eyes
As the dance goes on
But the timeless moment must stop
Remaning only in memory
And as the last chord sounds
I feel a pang of relief; then guilt
For this timeless dance, and all the others
With my heart's treasure
Are not mine
For he belongs
And dances with another.
*Ahhhhhh....*
