Once Again

I'd wake up in the still of the night....
And wish that you were by my side....
I'd lay And listen to the sound....
With each thought of you my heart would pound...
And when regrets attacked....
I'd think if only I could turn the clock back....
I know what I'd do And that's a fact....
I'd tell you I wished I'd never let you go....
And that I still loved you so....
So I searched And searched till I found you once more....
And the excitement I felt of opening that door....
Because for years we had never spoke....
Till that day the silence was again broke....
And a love of a lifetime was awoke....
Now With each new tear I cry....
Dreams I held for so long slowly die....
And I wonder if all the memories were nothing more than a lie....
Because I once again opened my heart....
And you chose to once again tear it apart....
I thought what we had was on solid ground....
Till all of a sudden everything came crashing down....
To hear your voice the feeling I got....
So explain the me how a love like ours simply stops....
Tell me how to sort all these emotions out....
When my world lies all about ....
Help me please to understand....
Was this always your plan....
Maybe this should have began....
With the words "once upon a fool again."
