Her strut caused my hearts blood to stand at attention like the waters of the Jordan sea. I looked behind her as all light plunged to darkness as if the sun had gone super nova and was sucked away. In the quietness of the place we spoke lips not moving, but eyes telling all they knew. Hearts yearning for answers that had no questions. All the while life moved on as if she was not there. I held her spirit within my hand. A caged bird . Yes a bird whose freedom lay only inches from her rest. It was free to live and rejoice. Freedom sat in front and yet was not hers that day. I left that day not understanding, and not asking. My thoughts centered upon a spirit so strong yet so weak. Twins turned inside out, which would have drawn me in, never to let go.
