Vietmanese Children’s Dilema

Please reach down and take our hands
For the world is oh so big
And men are oh so tall when they hold
                Their guns
That they don’t see us in their way
So we get hurt and shot and killed

Oh what did we do that was so wrong
To be punished in this way

 You can pick any place in the world now in 2018 -- 50 years after I wrote this and it is still true .  The goal to end this that is held by more than is known. It still exists and we need to work to make all of this go away. 

I just read this again May 2023 and the issue noted in this poem does exist even now.
