Are so often interpreted as coming from our lives
Are so often interpreted as to be a part of our lives
Are so often interpreted to be a happy Or sad
Or a frightful part of our lives
The words that we that write poetry
put forth for others to see
so often lay open the pain of our lives
The sadness of our lives
The loving times of our lives,
The hateful times of our lives
The words that we that write poetry
put forth for others to see
can and do lay open
The joy
The pain
The sorrow
The happiness
The essence of our soul…
The essence of our soul
is stripped open for the world to see
However sometimes..
The words that we that write poetry
put forth for others to see often…
Often the words that we that write poetry
put forth for others to see
are just words.
Words that may be free-verse
Words that may rhyme
Words that may inspire
Words that may bring joy
Words to be impassioned by
Words to think by
And these words…
These words
may actually be nothing more than words
Words that we that write poetry write

A poet needs lots of word!
Your poem has a lot of similarity to the one I wrote many years ago that I have saved in my Tripod.com's site. We must have Parallel Thoughts as most of your lines are similar to mine. LOL!!! I guess great poets think alike.
