Three wise men celebrate the very first Christmas...

Saturday, December 18, 2021

Three wise men trek from the east, traveling across a desert world- Through a land spiritually dry, in search of a child king. They follow the brightest star over winding mountain paths slow and high' crestfallen at times, not one of the three ever questioned why? "Why... and where are we headed so late on a frosty night? "First we'll stop at the palace... or a stable to rest, all be it to Herod's plight." Finally, they kneel by the child king's cradle, presenting their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. They sang, "praise to Jesus who will reign forever, we offer up to you, our worship." After all, to celebrate man's salvation is why they came!

Wise men still seek him, they say and I agree. A lovely poem of the wisemen of old.

An interesting Christian myth. Perhaps the source of all of the gift giving. Verifying the story is a great challenge, 21 centuries since.
