I'm waiting to see, too. I'm afraid that the right's 2025 plan is not designed to make the country greater only way to make the Republican Party control of everything and provide more for the rich. The poor fools who voted for the promises finding that they are continuing to lose ground.
Worst of all, the checks and balances that the founding fathers placed on the government that has extended to all aspects of business with needed regulations end set aside lands not to be exploited by business, turned back in time.
Mixing religion and business into government more than ever before. Destroying freedom of religion and the freedom of entrepreneurs to start new businesses without being gobbled up by monopolies.

A little more than 1 million died in the US of A. Most of those with "pre-existing conditions that would have led to death sooner rather than later. Perhaps 3 million, less than predicted, would have died without vaccines or the draconian measures.
We certainly have stepped backward by the way we've handled the epidemic. But it's probably not as bad as it would've been had no one taken vaccines that saved a lot of lives and a lot more misery for those caught it anyway.

I hope the Russian people get enough courage to put an end to Putin and his private war to make himself great by re-creating the Soviet Union, starting with Ukraine as his first victim.
Zielinsky has done a great job of rallying his people to reject the idea, that in spite of their Russian heritage, no longer want to be under the thumb of oppression that seems to continually reign in Russia.
United States and the European Union (NATO) are strapped because, aside from the attempts at diplomatic discussion, entering the war would mean nuclear war and World War III. Something that Putin may want to happen for some perverse reason.

People have a tendency to leap into the unknown, often cultish, beliefs pseudoscientifically presented to match fears or anticipation.
While science, and particularly, physics, has revealed the possibilities of other dimensions that may have promise as we learn and verify more theories, chasing the idea that extraterrestrial beings have been here before with endless repeating of the same old investigations proving nothing is a rather time wasting effort. Likewise, the idea that extraterrestrials are here but not revealing themselves to us.
Bullship, poppycock, balderdash, gossip, rumor, idiocy, stupidity or whatever you want to call it, runs deep among lazy people.

When he funded a monograph that I wrote on, Artificial Intelligence (1973), he persuaded me to change the title, "Intelligence is not artificial." We changed it to: Intelligence and the Machine.

My sister is the proud mother of two and the mother of another, all boys still trying to be men, thanks to her strong guidance in life. As I recall, would shoot her self in the foot if I let her use one of my guns back when we lived together eons ago.
Recently, a member of the Tea Party taking back America to make it great again, she told me that she now is an "excellent shot," with her 38 pistol and NRA training. I don't know what to send her on Mother's Day, except perhaps, more bullets.

I grew up a cheese head, but I still do not know the names of all those cheeses you so creatively put in this passionate poem. Certainly, an ode to the odor de plume of cut cheese Limburger. I realize that America's Dairyland was a latecomer and fairly only German in origin, but two other cheeses, Jesus, you missed were my favorite, Cheddar, and Colby, named after the little town of its origin, just up the road from my birthplace.

Cats are wild creatures that should be left free to hunt rather than made fat on premium cat food. Cats are substantial part of North American songbird loss. My friends in high school killed any cat they found out in the woods they hunted.

Yes, we are not content with terraforming the planet to our particular tastes for monoculture groceries, we find it necessary to even terraform grocery displays so they meet our expectation of eye candy that has nothing to do with nutrition.
I find particularly disgusting the rubbing of oils into old cucumbers to make them look fresh and shiny. Who cares?

I liked the explanation better than the poem.
Since my hands are paralyzed and for the last 57 years have had to type with one finger and use the knuckle or thumb on my left for the second key, like the shift key, control-alternate-delete was apparently invented by some nerds at IBM as a key shortcut for a very common function that should have been just a single key. While I could get it done with some hand gymnastics, I hated the PC that everyone loved and Bill Gates decided to turn into an imitation of a much better system that he had created for Apple, Windows.
So I was saved by going with Macs and never having to look back or use three key functions that the geeks love to use as they type away like maniacs and I simply speak these words that you see on the page… Sometimes wrong because my voice is still not understood completely by Dragon after all these years.
I'm with you on writing correctly. But if you can do it simply rather than by some complicated, insider, highly trained, monkey function, I say KISS (keep it simple stupid).
