The title of your book immediately tells me that there was a great emptiness in your life that you had to solve.
I know my ancestors quite well. I was born to a young mother and had all of my grandparents in my life as well as to great-grandparents that I recall affectionately. I wish I knew more about my ancestors further back, but we do have a good family history by both my younger brother and my cousin. Modern tools surely would have helped us find my mother's only brother who left five children from two families and disappeared with a suspected woman who left five children, too.
A private eye quickly found them a year after her death and about 15 after his, because she didn't change her name or her Social Security number. The house they lived in was left alone by their neighbors they gave it to, so there were pictures and papers for the children to gather.
I would suggest MyLife.com for finding anyone still alive in the United States. They send a lot of ads after you leave them, but I'm sure they will stop if you request it.

I'm glad that you had help and found Anthony. But it certainly looks like he was the last of that branch of the Bradshaws of Nottingham. Once again, a very detailed and filled in the account of the generations and what you could find about their lives with mysteries still abounding. But history found and put on the Internet like this article will outlast newspaper accounts and micro film/fiche and be searchable.
There is a well-known member of the Bradshaw clan here in the United States. When I was studying for my doctorate at West Virginia University in Morgantown, the nearby town of Pittsburgh and a star quarterback who took the team to the Super Bowl by the name of Terry Bradshaw. After retiring from football, Terry has become a greater star doing football commentary, commercials and TV shows. And just this year has come out with his own family reality show, The Bradshaw Bunch.

Very well researched, written, and entertaining. So sorry after all your hard work that you are unable to come to a satisfactory conclusion – yet.
My younger brother and one of my cousins has done our genealogical study. I found out some interesting things I didn't know from it. There is a Bible that my mother talks of, but I don't know where it is, from the maternal side of our family, Old Order Amish, that has names in scripted in it of births and deaths going far back into the early 1800s.
