You're absolutely right. I spent a few years in depression until I realized that trying to hide my disability was not working and that I had to use it to my benefit. I had a conversation yesterday with a woman who has been in a terrible relationship that is sucking the lifeblood from her. Until I can get her to put her foot down and stop giving into a pathological bloodsucker that she is inexplicably subject to, she will continue to be miserable and broke.

That is a beautiful and inspirational article and life experience. It's so much nicer to focus on our strengths and ignore the debilating thoughts that come from that social consciousness that tells us we can't do certain things because of this, that or a bunch of other things. That whole thing about to old, to fat, to skinny, to weak, to rich, to poor, to shy, to aggressive . . . and the list goes on, is paid too much attention in this society. Any example of overcoming those silly notions is welcomed in my life. Thank you.

Good article. I have a feng shui home. When people walk in they always comment on how relaxing and comfortable the atmosphere is. I learned about feng shui when I worked in the Orient many years ago.
