Firecrackers, (haiku) (Poetry) - 8/5/2009 9:29:40 PM
Yup, alcohol creates lots of unnecessary fireworks that can really screw up lives.

Georgia on my eyes (Poetry) - 8/5/2009 9:28:38 PM
Your lines really punch, and there is a dark seduction to your choice of descriptive words that is uniquely your own- I hope you keep writing and adding more soon :) PS_ thanks for your comments, they mean alot. Michelle

Fair warning, Will; and you are certainly very right about alcohol leading to bad decisions. Love and peace, Regis

Baseball past time (Poetry) - 6/27/2009 10:04:08 PM
WOW- ok, new favorite....better stop reading for the night before I say that again :) As a lover of classic films and history, this poem touches the part of me that wants to escape to the past and not come back-you really hit it on the head with the descriptions in this, and the almost agressive style of repetition is so sports-anyone who's a fan would get this- I personally loved the grandfather reference as it made me think of my grandfather and mom and their love of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Thanks for the memories.

30 minute lunch (Poetry) - 6/27/2009 9:59:57 PM
This is the best of yours I have read so far, great writing (couple of misspelled things in the beginning), but I could see this one being submitted to a magazine.

A narrow view (Poetry) - 6/27/2009 9:57:57 PM
The best part about knowing you have a narrow view is that means it has already widened- you write some good stuff :)

TRIBUTE (Poetry) - 6/27/2009 9:51:54 PM
If you combined all the deaths in all the wars mentioned, maybe man would see, but most likely not, seeing as absolute power corrupts absolutely, and there is always someone after it. WW1, often forgotten, had so many deaths, and there is a great book/film on the subject called, "Regeneration" by Pat Barker and the films are "Regeneration" (UK version) and "Behind the Lines" (american version of the same film) and it shows not only the way they treated shell shock victims back then, as it is set in an Edinburgh Mental Health facility, but it also shows how it affected some of the greatest WW1 poets, Sigfried Sassoon, Robert Graves, and my favorite poet ever, Wilfred Owen- and that's just mentioning a few.The same could be said of the Civil War, not to mention Korea, as you did- Thanks for drawing attention to this-it is sad that so often the individual soldier gets forgotten.

Mount Hope Sematary (Poetry) - 6/27/2009 9:41:41 PM
You've written such a wonderful ghost story of Crapsey and his wife! With his poetic fairy tales, I am sure he would love this otherworldly poem of yours.

TRIBUTE (Poetry) - 6/5/2009 4:31:08 PM
We may not always agree with the motives of a government. We will always remember and salute the sacrifice and courage of men and women. We are young and we remember them. This is the least we can do. -Michael

Kid's under construction (Poetry) - 4/13/2009 6:59:42 PM
Will, I caught the great use of language in the first half of this poem but not the import of your words quite; the second half I found much more meaningful and worthwhile...and the final lines striking, literally and metaphorically. John

Kid's under construction (Poetry) - 4/13/2009 6:46:09 PM
