Style aside, when I read a poem, I'm looking for how it communicates and sometimes, the style and the rhyme scheme, if it rhymes, make the poem communicate better. In this case, the mood of the poem was down and the interludes, in quote marks, apparently, counters to that kind of thinking. So I got the message of the poem quite well. Ron
