I agree with most of the things we real fans of her work feel. Gorski is probably among the most underappreciated leaders of new trends in writing and performance. More people know about her than have read or listened to her work and that is sad because it is available for such low prices on amazon. There is little taste for avant garde work these days, not like the late 1970s that spawned greats like Hedwig Gorski, Laurie Anderson, Patti Smith, and other leader women artists using text-based performances to make a point.

I love this book because the author views her past crazy artwork several decades later after getting a Ph.D. in literature. There is tension throughout even in the diction. One is not better than the other--both new and old are authentic and fascinating, at least to someone like me who enjoys collecting "people."
