That is excellent prose Bree! You built up a wonderful atmosphere and let us feel it in very few words. There are a couple of spelling mistakes, but nothing major.

Short but very emotional and powerful imagery. I think poetry is definitely where you excel!! i see a darkness there, but i know where it comes from and poetry is in fact a wonderful way to let our feelings out. I want to see much more :)
