So, from the dribble you have written here, I suppose you have proven that the answer to the question, “Could flower-power have saved the world?”, is laughably, “Of course not. It only makes us see things in very slanted and distorted ways, and prevents us from seeing that what we are accusing the opposition of is what we are doing ourselves.”
It's laughable, indeed, to read these words from your tirade... "One could be forgiven for suggesting that had our species embraced the serpent’s gift, we might still be living in harmony with each other and our planet – enjoying life in the paradise that we inhabit."
I don't know what Bible you've been reading, or what history you're studying, but that is precisely what happened. We DID “…embrace the serpent’s gift…” and here we are, just as you say.
You must truly be a man with an agenda to answer the title question with such anti-God rantings, which indeed are quite off topic. But then, I suppose there is no stretch too far for a God hater if that stretch will provide him the opportunity to speak out against the God of the Bible.
