I'm with you. I don't like to write about political things, but find myself writing more these days because of what I'm reading and hearing politicians are so excited about. Things like they create jobs and that women and minorities need to adhere to principles that have long been determined to be abusive. Politics has always been a stupid man's game, and was always about money, but today the power of money is overpowering and needs to be stopped in favor of people and principles. Thanks for writing your mind. I am too. My vote doesn't count for much, but I'm going to use it, not in the way that I am being coerced by negative advertising, but by what is right and good.

Lovely tribute to your Father, Mary Etta. I lost my Dad 12 years ago today, Dec. 12/1997. He was only 70 years old. He turned seventy one day and died the next day. I prayed with all my might at the time that he wouldn't die on his birthday....that just wasn't right to me. Thanks for sharing.

I now sadly wonder the very same, more and more each day. Bees, bats, butterflies, and even birds seem to now be vanishing, right before our eyes. And more and more creatures in the land, sea, and air seem to be dying off, every day now.

Beautiful. I cried as I read it! You have captured Alzheimers as it really is and the toll it takes on both people, the caregiver and the one who has the illness. Silently they slip away into obilivion!. My husband , oldest son and I all have early Alzheimers... My son is only 50...M

My mother recently passed at the hands of Alzheimer's. It is debilitating disease and difficult for the sufferer and all the loved ones involved...

This truly touched me. My mother also died of Alzheimers. It's hard to say and some may say cruel, but it was a blessing when she went with the Lord. Seeing her suffer, I missed her when she was gone but knew she wasn't in pain anymore. God Bless You and I'm sorry for your loss. This is a wonderful tribute to your mother. And I'm sure she's glad for wonderful daughter and her cozy little room.
