This excerpt was a great one, Dr. Etta. Some of these things I believe myself. I believe that we should empower and help ourselves and limit our dependence on others to become successful. We need to use the skills, knowledge and talents that we have to pursue our goals and attain what we desire in life.

As I read your concept of Individuality, I was impressed with the logic and the fundamentals that you express; yet I am one who believes that simplicity is the best way to touch others. Fortunately, I am able to agree with your article, and found it quite interesting as well as inspirational, my interpretation comes across so much more simple and to the point. Yes, we are each individuals, not carbon copies of one another; although many tend to want to reinvent themselves into a different person...perhaps by desire to be better or simply to emulate in order to move forward more easily. I simply believe that we each have the ability, no matter the plus or minus of book/intellect to reach for more! Those who are secure in their desire to improve their position, their belief, their desire to touch others in some way...will do it! There are different levels of individuality...and it is up to each of us to seek and reach as far as possible in order to attain our goals. Surprisingly, the goals of each of us are so diverse, yet each as important as the other, regardless of their position in how that goal may be to someone else. I enjoyed the article immensely, and love that you are able to teach as well as pass along good information in a way that is understood.
We each strive to reach a particular place in life; and to reach that goal is the absolute possibility/probability that when we set our mind to accomplish, we will! My goals are simple. I want to smile, to encourage, to support and nudge people to reach for expectations higher than they believe are possible within their own abilities. Another inspiring piece that stirs the soul and the imagination. In some of my earlier novels I had the concept of Fundamental Thought which was in a sense like Rousseau's Tabula Rasa. It was what the mind was like prior to it being invaded by perceptions and interactions with the outside world. In these novels, characters aspired to reach this Fundamental Thought to give them the wisdom to carry out their challenges. I am going to have to tell my friends about you. I know they will enjoy what you have to say.

Very powerful and inspirational writing! It reminds me of Abraham Maslow and the Psychology of Being. Your individual, Dr. Etta, is a human that has reached self-actualization. The uniqueness of the individual is that he or she contains her own universe and it is only through them that the conditions of this universe can improve.

I enjoyed reading your article on individuality and I agree with you. To think independently is to tap into one's own power. I believe the world around us is the reflection of our thoughts. Unfortunately most people do not take the responsibility for what their thoughts produce and insteat blame others.
You quoted James Allen....My very favorite writing of his is from his book AS A MAN THINKETH...
Mind is the master power that molds and makes
And man is mind
And everymore he takes the seal of thought
And shaping what he wills
Brings forth a thousand joys a thousand ills
He thinks in secret and it comes to pass
Environment is but his looking glass.

I really like your article. I do believe that we are here to serve. Our mission in life is to find out in which capacity. I am a very strong believer in what John F. Kennedy said " Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." That statementy I take to heart because when can only find meaning in life when we lose ourselves to service to others. Then life becomes very meaningful. That is why I became a school teacher.

Definition of LIFE can be viewed from different aspects. If I should hold myself within the above concept I agree in your saying. To not leave the earth as failures we sould leave a legacy of inspiration to inspire.
