Garth is a driving force behind your poem; and you captured that well. He is an entertainer's entertainer; but I can't handle the loud guitars, the fireworks, the rock show feel to his concerts. It hurts my ears, bothers my eyes. So I just don't go to see him anymore. I'd much rather see someone like Loretta Lynn or Alan Jackson, people who can still entertain, but do it in a way that doesn't drive the older country music fans away. I am more of a traditioanl country music fan; Garth is country, but he's also too "rock" for my traditioanalist taste buds. (I DO like a lot of his music though, particularly his early stuff, when he first started.)

When I was growing up Mama kept the radio on to a country music station all day long. I was raised on all the singers you mentioned and also Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline, Skeeter Davis and Tammy Wynette. Loretta was my favorite, I went to one of her concerts many years ago and will never forget it. She was wonderful. Amazing poem and tribute, Richard. I enjoyed it!

It's nice of you to have posted this. I know you meant the real Jesus Christ!
But some people might just take this poem and think it's their own, and think themselves are Jesus Christ. There are a lot of this type of people in this world. They think they are the God of everyone and everything.
Anyway...A nice poem in praise of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
