It takes two to tango. Although you were, and still are, infatuated with his looks (and perhaps his manner as well), it is obvious that he felt that he needed to move on. I certainly do hope, as your title suggests, that this poem brings closure and that's you find the love of your life right around the corner.

Dear Sonnet,
I just read your insightful piece, From Strangers to Friends." Well, I have several friends on Authors Den. It's strange that you can write almost anything to someone on the den and most folks here will treat your writing with care and respect so you can grow and explore the depths of your writing. Yes, they are like having pen pals but they are so wonderful. I encourage you to continue the journey and do not judge your writing by haw many have read it but my the kind comments of a few who before - you really never knew.

So poignant.
Has one thinking of the little match girl, if pretentious.
A few days back we went camping, me and a few from Kung Fu. I have never been so cold, there was no way to get warm, unless I got in my car.
In the morning I told the camp site, this is how it must be for the unsheltered.
As always, such a poignant and perfect poem.
Tops to see you back writing.
Many must spend just one night on the streets to understand.

These troubled times are scarey but I know God is in control of all things and will not harm those who believe in him. We need to get a life each and every one of us nd forget to gossip about others and make fun of others. Which is what many of these people who live in my apt house do. Make fun and gossip and they don't know the Lord or they would not be so mean.

Oh my, this is truly beautiful.
Indeed as I saunter through the forest such thoughts invade my mind and are most welcome.
Rhyming couplets too. If you can also read a poem by the rhyming end stoppers then it is normally a well written penn.
Such ease to read and so much depth of beauty in these words, a beauty that many miss in life due to the frantic pace many make for themselves.
