This is a cute,little fantasy book,mainly for children and preteens about a little girl,named Carol Anne,who meets a new girl whose family moved into the neighborhood,and she soon finds out that they have a secret,they are mermaids,and they wear these golden seashell necklaces to keep from turning into mermaids,but then when this little girl tries on one of these seashell necklace,it has the opposite effect on her,as it turns her into a mermaid,and now she must go live in the ocean with her new friend,and her family,to get out of the evil clutches of Dr. Langdon, who wants to use Carol Anne,
and in turn,her friend,Samantha,and her mermaid family,as guinea-pigs

This was a fun book for me to write.It's about three children who take their family's motor-boat out for a spin while on vacation,and they get stuck in a surprise storm,and get stranded on a deserted island,with all these strange,mythical/mystical creatures,including mermaids,centaurs,unicorns,dragons,even a talking snake.They eventually must band together to save each other from all these dangerous situations,including falling into quick-sand-traps and being eaten by gigantic,talking snakes,and quick-sand-trap monsters. They end up getting off the island and live to tell their tales.

This is a novel about family-values and how close a family can get, even among cousins.Carol Anne and Melissa had hardly met before Carol Anne's aunt and uncle,Melissa's parents,ask Carol Anne's parents if she could come live with them,since Melissa doesn't go to school and has very limited contact with other children,until Carol Anne comes to live with them and the girls soon develop a close bond,once they get to know each other

This is my very first novel.It's a gripping story about a Doctor,George Franklin,who kills his girlfriend,Nancy Walker,and thinks that no one saw his dastardly deed,but he soon learns that the next-door neighbor's little girl had witnessed his crime,and now he must find a way to make sure that she can never warn the authorities about the murder that she had witnessed,so he comes up with a scheme to convince her parents that she's crazy,and needs to be committed to his insane asylum,and once he does,he's able to lock her away in one of the padded-cells,keeping her under lock and key.This book is highly recommended for anyone who loves suspense thrillers,and is a true page-turner
