I have never found meditation, especially with a guru coach useful for anything but developing a cult around that guru as a spiritual leader.
However, we all do have a center, an ethnic that guides us when it comes to navigating all the trials that come to our lives. That is those of us, perhaps only about 20% on the planet, with enough wealth, independence and choice to have any say in our lives. Can we steer the ship from that small minority? I believe so if we follow the facts that science provides us not individuals who claim they have the answers to everything.

Beyond Self-Help: Leaning Into Your True Nature (Article) - 2/28/2020 10:00:15 AM
I like the idea of not having to fix oneself. I recall taking responsibility for my own actions at seven when I decided to quit smoking and never have again. As I recall my life, I don't regret anything except perhaps some wrong decisions that could have made my life financially better, but not better, as you say, "spiritually." I'm really happy with the way my life as gone and the way that I've helped so many other people… Not to "fix them," but to empower them to do better than they already were doing.
Why I don't read or have any interest in self-help books and spiritual gurus. I'm happy.
