If Only I Could Remember His Name (Short Story) - 5/25/2014 7:14:12 AM
I can see why you didn't remember his name. You only had a brief encounter with him because he wasn't in your unit. That's quite a story. It's entirely possible that he recovered and lived a long life with severe brain injury symptoms. If you knew his name, you could find that out through military records or his family. I can see why the memory haunts you. If you are going to publish this elsewhere, like in a memoir of your Nam experience, I suggest that you have someone proof it for minor errors. Ron

That is a fitting eulogy for the great man your nephew was. Written from the heart. Ron

My Son My Best Friend (Poetry) - 5/24/2014 12:48:42 PM
You are a great father to Derek, and because you have taught him to be the person that he was. I'm so glad you and Derek had a great relationship while he was alive. Sometimes you don't need to be biologically linked to your child to call him yours. He had certainly known that you were wonderful as a father, a friend, and a brother to him while he was alive. This eulogy is spoken with so much love and wonderful feelings of endearing sentiments that this reader is feeling the deep connection between you and Derek. Prayers for you both, and also the family!! May God bless you and the family always!! Hugs, Sandie
