The addition of 'Normal Language Milestones' is a wonderful resource for parents, family members, and healthcare personnel.
This book is informative in explaining this speech disorder in children. The writing is extremely easy and understandable for any reader.
The mother and counselor's willingness to make one boy's camp experience the best it could be -- was truly the backbone of this publication.
It is refreshing to see a children's book explaining a disability lived with by so many which hopefully opens the door into conversations about apraxia and then into other disorders--speech or otherwise.
Books like this need to be EASILY FOUND in our schools. It is not enough that they are in a school library along with thousands of other books -- they have to be FOUND.

The layout of this book is similar to the author's first book 'Journey from Darkness to Light'.
The Prologue gives readers a private glimpse into Buesser's life after the death of her husband.
Buesser's poems are written over a decade illustrating her feelings at this difficult time.
As specific events happen, the author puts pen to paper and produces these revealing and raw poems.
These poems will resonate with any reader of any age.

While the Prologue helps the reader understand what has happened in the author's life, the poems lead the reader on a many year's journey of emotional healing.
Adding the date the poem was written was a stroke of genius. This allows the reader to track emotional healing as time passes.
How Buesser goes from the darkness of her son's death to hope is outlined in this special publication.
This is truly an honest and open confrontation of one's feelings during an incredibly difficult time.

The colorful cover jumps out a person and the illustrations throughout are extraordinary.
Though seemingly written for children, this book will touch the heart in people of all ages.
The story is about various emotions such as: sadness, loneliness, anxiety, patience, and finally happiness, acceptance, and understanding.
Remarkable, uplifting, simple and sweet, touching all in this wonderful book.
This is certainly one to read to your grandchildren before bed and/or during reading time at an elementary school.

This little book was a nugget of information on a topic that the majority of people in the U.S. have probably heard but know little about.
It took tremendous courage for you Jeanne to put very personal events in your life and your sons' lives down on paper for the world to read.
This chapter in your sons' lives gives the reader a glimpse into the specific happenings of yourself and your family which in turn will help those who read about how your sons' special needs affected you, them, and those around them.
Hopefully the information in this publication will enable those people involved with special needs children and/or adults to ensure they are as informed and functioning as best as possible in the world they live in.
Again, Jeanne thank you for your patience in recording your story for us to read and to understand.

As a retired special educator I was able to relate to the definitions within this book so well.
I really admire Jeanne for sharing her story through the lenses of her sons, and her life shared with them.
The reading of her book, 'Water Line' allows others not experiencing similar life issues to understand the magnitude and impact of parenting children with unique needs, but with a sprit of understanding.
I have to say that I applaud you for telling your story, Jeanne.
Your sons are so blessed to have you as their mother, and you are pretty lucky too, having boys who work so hard at their craft.
Faith and perseverance does pay off!

I love stories like 'Willow Tree' because I love to see belief systems materialize in positive growth. This is how I felt about this storyline as the tree was the center point of the story used in an abstract way as if in human form (personification).
Sometimes it takes someone with experience to lift our spirits (such as Mother Nature speaking and confirming that the willow tree would one day grow big and strong).
Although the small willow lacked confidence, and the seasons did change (just as they do in our own lives), Mother Nature affirmed a truth as the small willow tree did come into its own.
Life may not be easy, and the seasons will come with its twists and turns, but if we believe and affirm our greatness, we can achieve our greatest desires.

I just finished reading this lovely book. I am looking forward to reading it to my eight-year-old son. The author is an inspiring woman and an example of turning life's challenges into victory.

OMG, I felt like Jeanne was reading my daily script of pain from grieving and loss......she was tugging at my heart and telling my story and my pains.....if you have recently loss someone close or if it has been years, you need to read this book. Your thoughts and feelings are not weird or different...they are real......I highly suggest you read this to ease your pain....

This book shares from the heart the everyday, simple things in life that we encounter after we lose someone close to us. The pain and the change we must go thru and do and knowing that we are not alone and have support. Thank you Jeanne for sharing.
