This piece creates a kind of tension between authorial intent, and reader response. Reads like a storyboard for a movie short. Weeds are deeply rooted in our minds. It's also amazingly beautiful how most weeds manage to flower if one pays attention to the intricacies of their reproduction. For the ones in our minds, perhaps if we don't fight them, we will sleep.
Why I like to leave my yard unkempt in the spring time until it's at least knee deep and all of the wildflowers from weeds have come and gone before the long summer hits and they dry up anyway.

INDEED...ONE CAN SOMETIMES FEEL OVERWHELMED AND SADDENED, ESPECIALLY DURING THE 'YULETIDE' SEASON. IT REMINDS THEM OF A 'HAPPINESS' THAT THEY MAY NOT HAVE. BUT, ACTUALLY 'HAPPINESS' DEPENDS ON 'WHAT'S HAPPENING'(POEM; "HAPPINESS VS JOY")AND IT CAN COME AND GO. HOWEVER 'JOY' WHICH IS THE 'PRESENCE' OF GOD'S LOVE... IS THERE ALL THE TIME. I DON'T CARE HOW 'ALONE' WE MAY FEEL...WE ARE NOT! GOD IS WITH US AND 'KNOWS' OUR SITUATION. THEN WHY ISN'T HE 'FIXING' IT ...YOU ASK? A GREAT DEAL OF THE TIME WE ARE UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT (PROV 3:5) WE KNOW WHAT WE NEED BUT WE DON'T. I WROTE AN ARTICLE ENTITLED "HIMSELF". WE'VE GOT TO TRUST AND HAVE FAITH IN GOD. Every young girl probably perceives herself as a ballerina until the winds and chill of October tell her she's no longer that perfect.
Ironically, I'm in a Zoom session on aging with paralysis. The leader is a former ballerina in her 70s who had her dance career cut short when she was paralyzed. Amazingly, still exudes the confidence and beauty of her self Image and counsels young women in the field, still.

Like a passage from a memoir, these few lines relate to the kindness and love that melemcholy can hold, a preservation of but a moment in time, but what might sum up to many nights when the only color was in one's dreams. At least, that is how it struck me, one who has had many similar experiences.

I can relate. Why was I mulling over the mistake my experienced caregiver/camera woman made recently when she used the portrait vision from the iPad instead of the landscape vision to chronicle an event more like cell phone videos that give an ugly, snapshot narrow viewpoint.
Kept me awake for a long time and couldn't get it out of my head last night. Overslept in the morning as a result.

Beautifully comparing the mine's thoughts to a sailboat in harbor with the creaking and groaning, and even, clanking when the wind comes up.
Perhaps that's why my publisher left her sailboat in Tampa Harbor for a more stable and less noisy at limited space for the Georgia mountains after living in new England for a while before.
