Sounds like a really wicked videogame plot; very strong passage here and I will be picking the book up when I get some more money. I like your voice with this one, vampires with a Science Fiction edge. Carrie is an author that is more than worthy of Ray Bradbury's territory when it comes to this genre. This would make for a good movie if picked up by the right director. The take on the vampire being a soldier is relatively new and beats out a lot of the dark sword and socery type fantasy takes on the vampire. I would rather pick something like this up any day over that kind of vampire. This is more like something I would actually read.

Cybergiest is the reason to get this book. Heavy hitting ghost story in this anthology -- I got a signed copy from Carrie herself. You get a tinge of Edgar Allan Poe with Rod Serling crawling into there. A very dark read, but at the same time has an old school horror tenacity. I wish I knew about this author sooner to ask to be a part of Tabloid Purposes I. I own this book proudly.
