Interesting and tragic. I wonder how many marriages have been broken up by myths like this. When I hear what some Congress members have to say about women, and how many religions view women, I have no doubt that it is more common than people would suspect.
My helper runs a shop. It seems like every day she comes home with something strange that her customers tell her. Most of it is bull shit, but since she has a rather compassionate person she tends to believe their authority even though they might be wrong. I'm glad that I'm here to help correct some of the fallacies she hears.

Twenty-five years ago, after my brother married his second wife, we were all gathered in their living room with every family member all around. I will never forget when Sue burst out, "Oh, how I love that man!" Referring to my twin brother that she had just married. Two months ago, Sue died tragically in a fall. Roger has adjusted very well to Sue's loss. I believe it was because while she was alive she gave her all in love for him.

Absolutely so, we have to keep our eyes on the prize no matter what we endure in this life and I am grateful that my mother taught me GOD's value as I grew up and she also prepared me for such times,although it was still hard, I made it through it,I learned to carry the memories within my heart, that helped a great deal. thank you!!!!

I am sorry for your loss, my mother's passing followed health decline, age, and her loneliness for Dad, it was not easy giving her up.
Because we are Christian we have that hope that we will see our mothers again one day and THAT gives hope and helps to ease the pain.

Wow, that had to be a total shocker. Mine left me for the bar tender. She was suppose to be good friends with both of us, she even had the nerve to tell me, I hope things work out for you when we were going thru a rough spot. She knew what I was going thru, with my daughter, her losing her kids, for she chose drugs over her kids, they would have ended up in foster care if it had not of been for her dad and I. He came home one night, told me he found a new love, and I was totally stunned when he told me she was moving in the next day. Men, they seem to think they can just walk over us, and then expect us to still love them. I know that when this marriage fails, with him and his new love, he will come knocking on my door, and it's been long enough now, I will be able to just say, sorry, I won't go down that road again. I won't be your babysitter, housekeeper agian, so that you can go spend time with your friends and find another love. You just lost the best one you had. Sorry to read what you went thru, but there are good things to come in your future, you are worth much more, hold your head up high.

I can relate to this so well. I spent 17 years in a marriage, so many wasted years. He chose the bar instead of coming home. Then one night he came home and told me he found a new love, the bartender! My friends tell me this love won't last, they usully don't when one finds love that way. We just have to move on, and I know there is someone out there that will appreciate the good things I have to offer and will want to spend time with me and doesn't mind being seen with me. We women just have to stick together and know there a good things to come in our future.
